ZCo2 was developed as a concept in response to the Government's 2008 'Code for Sustainable Homes'.
The code measures the sustainability of a new home against catagories of sustainable design using a 1 to 6 star rating system as measure of sustainable performance. With the challenge set, ZCo2 set out to design and build a home that exceeds the government's six star rating of sustainability by essentially creating a 'zero-carbon house'
